Whenever I read this kind of news, I'm at a loss for words(probably as many people are).

This time, however, I realized my own name is also completely unreadable.

A professor in the above article says complicated name is not problematic because what's important is surname.
But in my experience, inconsistency between characters and pronunciations frequently causes troubles on the phone.
When I went through administrative procedure by phone, I had to correct errors many times so far in my life. Sometimes mistakes were kept unchanged.

Lately I've been told even by non-Japanese people that my name was difficult to pronounce.
At such a time, I wished again I could have an "usual" pronunciation, which I think is easier to say for foreign people.
