This is a live-action movie version of Chuya Koyama's popular comic books of the same title.
Perhaps it is the biggest hit since Vagabond and Black Jack ni Yoroshiku in Morning magazine.

Although I have read only the first issue of the comic, I guess the story is basically faithful to the original.
Thanks to the developed movie techniques and cooperation from NASA and JAXA, viewers can enjoy powerful graphics.
What is more amazing is that UK's rock band Coldplay sings the theme song.

Shun Oguri and Masaki Okada play leading characters.
At first, one may be surprised by Oguri's Afro haircut. But he does a good performance.
